Military Con, a new large-scale live experience celebrating the people, stories, and culture of America’s military community, today announced its launch and inaugural events, taking place June 4-6, 2027 at the Henry B. González Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas, and September 4-6, 2027 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California.
Deeply rooted in military culture and home to significant service member and veteran communities, the two cities will serve as the launch markets for Military Con, with plans to expand into a broader year-round platform through touring experiences, original content, and consumer offerings. Designed for active-duty service members, veterans, military families, gamers, and anyone drawn to military stories, history, and entertainment, Military Con will bring authentic military storytelling to life through the scale, production, and immersive environment of a major consumer entertainment experience. Spanning approximately 300,000 square feet, the experience will transport guests into the history, missions, technology, and human stories of America’s military across every branch of service.
Military Con is being developed alongside a military advisory board across special operations, combat, personnel recovery, humanitarian missions, and veterans’ affairs. Led by former Navy SEAL and respected Hollywood military advisor Harry Humphries, Military Con’s Military Director, the founding board includes former Army Special Forces and Air Force Special Warfare leader RJ Casey, decorated former Navy SEAL Kevin Kent, Army Ranger veteran and veterans advocate David Reid, former Marine Raider George Mills, former Coast Guard Law Enforcement Officer Dan Hendrix, and former Space Force officer Michael Telcide. The board is helping shape the experience from the ground up to ensure Military Con remains authentic to the people, history, and culture of the military community.
“Military Con is our love letter to those who serve,” said Jennifer Worthington, Co-Founder of Two Dice. “These are the stories the world needs to hear right now; stories of courage, heroism, sacrifice, service, and homecoming. Military Con gives the people behind those stories a place to share them, and all of us a chance to listen, connect, and honor their legacy. Through large-scale immersive experiences, we invite people to step into their world as we bring military history and service to life.”
Each Military Con will follow a three-day narrative: The Call, The Mission, and The Return, tracing the journey of military service from the inspiration to serve, mission preparation, the realities of service, and the return home.
The event will feature large-scale immersive environments inspired by the branches of the U.S. military. Guests will move through history, training, and mission briefings before entering interactive experiences based on real-world operations and the service members who lived them.
Speaker programming will unite a rare combination of voices, pairing service members and special operators with filmmakers, actors, athletes, and authors to explore historic missions and emerging technologies reshaping modern warfare, including AI, autonomous systems, drones, and next-generation technology.
Plans also include Hardware Alley, featuring iconic military aircraft, vehicles, and equipment; live demonstrations; a marketplace of veteran-owned businesses, art, and consumer brands; and family programming. Military Con will also tap into the highly engaged military gaming audience via on-site gaming competitions, connecting players with the service members, veterans, and real-world stories that inspire their favorite video games.
“The missions, equipment, and technology may be what first capture people’s attention, but Military Con is, at its core, a human experience,” said Harry Humphries, Military Director of Military Con. “Through my work in film and television, I’ve helped bring military stories to life, but only so many can make it to the screen. Military Con gives the military community a platform to share so many more of the stories that deserve to be told and gives all of us a chance to listen, connect, and honor those who have served.”
Additional programming, speakers, partners, and ticket information will be announced in the coming months. To register for updates and early ticket information, visit www.MilitaryCon.com. For sponsorship inquiries, please reach out to Key Sports and Entertainment: militarycon@kseagency.com.
