GGB unveils its 2026 Mid-Autumn collection, with internal data highlighting Hong Kong’s latest corporate gifting trends, spending ranges and flexible delivery demands.
Hongkong, Hong Kong (PRUnderground) September 1st, 2026

Give Gift Boutique (GGB), a Hong Kong-based gift and hamper specialist and one of the designated corporate sales partners of The Peninsula Boutique, today announced the launch of its 2026 Mid-Autumn Festival collection, alongside a first-of-its-kind data report on how Hong Kong gives gifts during the festival.
The headline finding may surprise many: Mid-Autumn, not Christmas or Lunar New Year, is the single largest gifting occasion on GGB’s calendar, generating more order volume than any other event the company tracks. “People tend to think of Mid-Autumn as a quieter, more family-oriented festival compared to Christmas,” said John Wong, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gifts International Holdings Limited, GGB’s parent, who also oversees marketing at Give Gift Boutique. “Our own order data tells a different story. For Hong Kong businesses, Mid-Autumn is the moment when relationships with clients, partners and staff get renewed, and that makes it our single busiest season.”
Why Mid-Autumn, Specifically
GGB points to timing as one explanation for the festival’s outsized business importance. Mid-Autumn typically falls in September or October, just as many Hong Kong companies begin shaping budgets and client plans for the year ahead. A thoughtfully chosen hamper delivered at this moment, GGB suggests, lands when a client or partner is actively thinking about who they want to keep working with — a more strategically timed gesture than a year-end gift arriving after those decisions are already settled. “Mid-Autumn sits at a useful point in the calendar,” Wong said. “It’s close enough to next year’s planning season that a well-considered gift can genuinely help a relationship stay front of mind, without feeling transactional.”
A Closer Look at What Hong Kong Spends
GGB’s data points to a spending pattern that reflects Hong Kong’s gifting culture. At the higher end, 10.73% of orders exceeded HK$10,000, meaning more than one in ten fell into the ‘luxury tier.’ Together, the figures point to a healthy mid-market alongside a genuinely sizeable segment of premium spenders.
Across spending tiers, orders of HK$1,001 to HK$2,000 formed the largest segment at 31.32%, followed by HK$501 to HK$1,000 at 23.79% and HK$2,001 to HK$5,000 at 23.04%. Together, these bands accounted for more than 70% of orders, placing Hong Kong’s mainstream Mid-Autumn gifting market between HK$500 and HK$5,000 – a range associated with gifts that balance quality, presentation and value.
Mooncake Hampers Featuring The Peninsula and Other Renowned Brands
As one of the designated corporate sales partners of The Peninsula Boutique, GGB continues to offer a curated range of Peninsula mooncakes, including the Mini Egg Custard Mooncake, the Mini Low Sugar Tea Flavoured White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake, the Constellation Mooncake gift set, and the limited-edition Premium Mooncake Gift Box, alongside mooncakes from Lady M, agnès b., The Ritz-Carlton and Rosewood. Several hampers this year pair premium mooncakes with curated gourmet items, catering to the premium end of demand highlighted by the data.
Upgraded Seasonal Fruit Hampers
Alongside mooncake gifts, GGB has refreshed its Mid-Autumn Fruit Hampers for 2026 with freshly imported seasonal fruits, including Japanese peaches, Shine Muscat grapes, Kyoho grapes, golden kiwifruit, and yellow dragon fruit. These fruit hampers can be paired with mooncakes and gourmet treats, and remain the most popular format among GGB’s customers — a lighter, shareable alternative to traditional mooncake gifting.
Order data reinforces that shift: fruit hampers – including fruit-only baskets and mooncake-and-fruit combinations – represented 65% of selections, while gourmet hampers accounted for 29.28%. Standalone mooncake boxes represented just 4.59%, indicating that they are used mainly for smaller gifts or return gestures, while customers increasingly favour more substantial, shareable formats.
Expanded Options for Corporate Gifting
Corporate orders accounted for 87.3% of GGB’s Mid-Autumn volume last year, by far the highest share of any occasion the company tracks — a figure GGB says lines up with the timing advantage described above. In response, GGB has expanded its hamper customisation service, letting businesses add their own logo, personalised greeting cards and branded materials to each hamper, so a gift arriving at this planning-sensitive moment carries a company’s own identity rather than looking generic. The company reported delivering over 10,000 Mid-Autumn hampers in 2025, and noted that customised orders require extra lead time, encouraging corporate clients to order well ahead of the festival.
The 2026 range spans more than 250 Mid-Autumn products, led by fruit and gourmet hampers and complemented by 18 patented display-rack hampers, 31 portable and flat gift boxes, and six multi-tier luxury hampers. The breadth allows corporate buyers to match different budgets, recipient profiles, delivery scenarios and sustainability requirements.
Operational flexibility is also a major part of corporate demand. More than one-quarter of orders involved delivery to multiple addresses. Among large-volume orders, purchases of 20 to 29 items represented 43.43%, while orders of 30 to 49 items accounted for 28.28%; together, the two bands made up more than 70% of large-volume orders.
An internal survey found that 90% of corporate customers consider Mid-Autumn gifting important for maintaining business relationships and for opening conversations around second-half and following-year opportunities. Greeting-card analysis supports that relationship value: 10.50% of messages explicitly referenced cooperation, support or business ties, while 7.21% included wishes for success, smooth progress or business prosperity.
“Mid-Autumn is one of the occasions when companies most want their gifts to feel considered rather than routine,” Wong said. “We’ve expanded our hamper range and made customisation more flexible, so a corporate order can carry a company’s own identity at exactly the moment clients are thinking ahead to next year. We’re also seeing more customers choose hampers that pair mooncakes with fresh fruit and gourmet treats, rather than a mooncake box on its own.”
Sustainability Built Into the Gift
GGB has also integrated ESG principles into product design and packaging. More than 85% of its leather baskets and gift boxes are made with environmentally conscious materials, while accompanying greeting cards and message plaques use biodegradable materials. The approach reduces the environmental impact of conventional packaging without compromising presentation, enabling corporate customers to combine relationship-building with responsible procurement. Businesses making qualifying bulk purchases of designated ESG gifts may also receive an ESG certificate recognising their support for environmental protection and sustainable development.
Backing the Data With Public Accountability
GGB says the report reflects a broader effort to be seen as an authority on Hong Kong’s gifting culture, not simply a retailer within it. GGB’s parent, Gifts International Holdings Limited, has filed to list on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker GINT. Wong has also recently co-authored “Happiconomy,” a book exploring Hong Kong’s emerging “happiness economy,” which touches in part on how everyday gestures, including gift-giving, factor into workplace and personal wellbeing.
