Juici Patties brings authentic Jamaican patties, local jobs, and a revitalized restaurant space to Cheltenham Avenue

This newest “Centennial” restaurant is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at 3110 W. Cheltenham Ave. The new restaurant marks another step in the brand’s growing U.S. expansion while bringing an authentic taste of Jamaica to Philadelphia’s Jamaican and Caribbean community.

The Philadelphia location is owned by a family with deep roots in Kingston and St. Ann, where Jamaican patties have long been part of their family’s everyday lives. For the franchisees, bringing Juici Patties to their home city was a way to share a food that is deeply connected to their culture and heritage. “Opening this location means being able to give back to our community in two ways: sharing our culture through food, and creating much needed local jobs,” they said. “Watching a vacant space transform into a thriving business that serves our neighbors is incredibly meaningful to us.”

The restaurant is located across from Cedarbrook Plaza Shopping Center in a space that had been vacant for a long time. The family saw an opportunity to give the property a new purpose while creating a place where residents could enjoy Jamaican food in a welcoming environment.

“We wanted to bring authentic Jamaican patties to the community we call home,” the franchisee said. “We saw an opportunity not just to open a restaurant, but to also help bring vitality, good vibes and great food to that area of Philadelphia.”

The location underwent a complete gut renovation to create an updated space designed for both dine-in and takeout. Guests can expect the familiar Juici Patties menu and flavors, along with music and a welcoming atmosphere.

The restaurant will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Philadelphia was a natural market for the brand, given the city’s growing Jamaican and Caribbean community and its broader food culture, which embraces bold and authentic flavors. The franchisees expect the restaurant to appeal both to customers familiar with Jamaican patties and those experiencing Juici Patties for the first time.

The August 29 grand opening will feature an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, freshly baked patties, and feel-good music. The event will give members of the Philadelphia community an opportunity to celebrate the new restaurant and experience Juici Patties firsthand.

For the franchisee owners, the opening represents more than another restaurant launch. It is also an opportunity to create local employment while introducing more Philadelphians to a food that has been part of Jamaican culture for generations.

The Philadelphia location is also expected to be the beginning of a broader expansion effort. The franchisee owners are already looking toward the possibility of bringing Juici Patties to additional communities throughout Philadelphia and the greater Pennsylvania area.
