Process Street, the Compliance Operations Platform, Goes Headless

105 new API endpoints, all mirrored as tools on the company’s MCP server, let any AI agent build and run workflows, data sets and permissions.

A release of 105 new public API endpoints, each one also exposed as a tool on the company’s hosted Model Context Protocol server at mcp.process.st, means the platform can be driven entirely by software and by AI agents, from any surface, with no one clicking through the interface.

Process Street is now an agentic process platform and an agentic compliance platform, and it is open to any agent rather than to one vendor’s assistant. Teams can control their processes, their compliance programs and their automation headlessly, from whichever agent and whichever surface they already work in.

The 105 endpoints cover workflow authoring end to end: creating, updating, duplicating and publishing workflows, their tasks, logic rules, assignment rules, due date rules and widgets. They also cover Pages, including revisions, publishing and markdown export; Data Sets and their incoming webhooks; a paginated workflow run listing that removes the old 200-result cap; one-off tasks and My Work; scheduled workflows; outgoing webhooks; attachments; folders; and permissions at the folder, workflow, page and individual task level. Work that previously required manual clicks or a workaround can now be automated properly.

Because the MCP server wraps the public API, the same 105 endpoints became 105 new agent tools on the day they shipped. An assistant connected to Process Street can now build a workflow, not only run one. It can create a compliance review, assign it, publish a revised procedure, load a vendor list into a data set, set the permissions on a folder, and schedule the whole thing to repeat.

“We never bothered to build API endpoints for creating workflows,” said Vinay Patankar, CEO and co-founder of Process Street. “You built them in the interface, and that was that. Then agents showed up and that shape was wrong. So we shipped 105 endpoints and put every one of them on the MCP server. Your processes and your controls are callable now. The agent builds the workflow, runs it, and never leaves the permissions the person already has.”

The server works with Claude, ChatGPT on Pro, Team, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and any application that supports the Model Context Protocol. One-click connectors are available for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot Studio. Other clients connect to the remote server with a Process Street API key using bearer token authentication.

Access follows the permissions customers already have. Admins, Builders and Users can use the API and the MCP server, and each can only interact with the resources their Process Street permissions allow. No new permission model is introduced and no data is moved out of the platform to make it available. Organizations with SAML SSO enabled are not supported at this time.

“Compliance is the one part of a company you cannot improvise,” said Patankar. “Headless does not mean open. Every one of these endpoints inherits the permission model we already had. Nothing was loosened to let an agent in.”

The endpoints and the matching MCP tools are live now and available to all Process Street customers on all plans.
