EWING, NJ / ACCESS Newswire / October 5, 2026 / J&S Autohaus opened in January 1995, when Jean Saliba and Souheil Saliba put an import store on North Olden Avenue in Ewing, New Jersey. The first month, the whole inventory was a fraction of one car.
Three years later, The Times of Trenton put them on its Weekly Auto Dealer page (April 11, 1998). Jean’s line in that story was “Import automobiles are our specialty.” By then the store had moved about 1,200 cars, employed nine people, and ran two lots, 1723 N. Olden and 1765 N. Olden. The inventory was pre-owned Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo, Saab, and Japanese cars, most bought at Manheim and put through a 29-point check before sale.
George J. Saliba is Jean’s son. He is general manager of the same business, and the flagship is still at 1723 N. Olden Ave. The difference is the audience. George buys cars on camera, and the sellers come to Ewing from the comments. Across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and the dealership pages, J&S Autohaus and George reach more than 3 million followers combined.
The inventory has changed with the audience. Before 2020, most cars on the lot sold for under $50,000. Today the store buys and sells Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, and Mercedes-Benz, with cars up to about $1.2 million, and it buys nationwide with enclosed pickup, lienholder payoff, and in-house title work handled from Ewing.
Jean still comes in. The next step is the same one the family has talked about for years: get the cars indoors.
